Rhythmtots was created in 2006 by
Mary Montgomery who is a musician after retiring as an experienced and qualified Nursery Teacher for over 30 years.
From these experiences she has seen all the benefits and joy that music makes in a young child’s life which inspired her to set up classes for parents, babies and toddlers in the Chelmsford area.

Her assistants, Mary Murdoch who is also a qualified Nursery Nurse has had lots of experience working with young children and a friend who has worked alongside Mary for a number of years.
Mary’s daughter Ruth attended with her two sons every week for 8 years making happy memories of music time. Rhythmtots inspired Ruth to run classes in her work for deaf babies and preschoolers with songs and actions in Sign language. There are plenty of sign actions at Rhythmtots!
